Full Description
The MG Cyberster is a bold step forward for MG, blending nostalgic roadster charm with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology. As the brand’s first all-electric convertible, it’s not just about looks—the engineering beneath its sculpted body is equally impressive. With its anticipated MG Cyberster India launch in early 2025, enthusiasts are eager to understand what this striking EV offers under the hood.
At the heart of the MG Cyberster lies a robust electric powertrain available in two main variants: a rear-wheel drive (RWD) version and a more potent all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. The RWD model, also known as the Trophy, features a single motor producing around 335 bhp.
It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly five seconds, making it quick enough for most drivers while keeping energy efficiency in check. For performance lovers, the dual-motor AWD variant—dubbed the GT—delivers an impressive 510 to 528 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. It rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just about 3.2 seconds, firmly placing it in supercar territory.
Both variants are powered by state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery packs sourced from CATL. The RWD model features
a 64 kWh battery, while the AWD version boasts a larger 77 kWh unit. These batteries are built into a lightweight yet rigid chassis with a slim 110 mm platform height, allowing for a low center of gravity and better handling. According to MG, the AWD model offers a CLTC-rated range of up to 580 km, while real-world estimates (WLTP) suggest around 444 to 507 km depending on driving conditions.
Charging capabilities are just as advanced. The MG Cyberster supports up to 150 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in under 40 minutes. This makes it not only a high-performance machine but a practical one for long drives as well.
With the MG Cyberster launch in India expected through MG’s premium MG Select channel, the car will cater to a niche yet growing segment of luxury EV buyers. Positioned at a projected price of ₹60–70 lakh, the MG Cyberster sale will mark a new chapter for MG in India—offering electric driving excitement wrapped in an iconic open-top design.
Whether you're drawn to its futuristic butterfly doors or its high-tech powertrain, the MG Cyberster promises a unique driving experience that blends past inspiration with future innovation.
