The Skoda Kushaq offers two turbo-petrol engine options: a smaller 1-litre three-cylinder engine producing 115 horsepower and 178 Newton-meters of power, and a larger 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 150 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of power. Both engines come with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox, while the automatic versions include a 6-speed torque converter for the smaller
engine and a 7-speed DCT for the larger one. The claimed fuel efficiency figures are as follows: 19.76 kmpl for the 1-litre manual, 18.09 kmpl for the 1-litre automatic, 18.60 kmpl for the 1.5-litre manual, and 18.86 kmpl for the 1.5-litre automatic. Additionally, the 1.5-litre engine features cylinder deactivation technology, allowing it to deactivate two cylinders under lighter conditions for improved fuel efficiency.
